The owner of the venue speaks no English and isn’t particularly responsive to e-mails (we’ve been learning the hard way….),  but we do have a wedding planner in Poland who is organising everything on our behalf.

I don’t think the venue has any sophisticated sound equipment other than some speakers from memory, but we can always ask the question. I think the easiest/quickest way might be if you provide a list of what you need and we can forward that onto the planner to confirm.

I would suggest at least checking quotes with local suppliers in Krakow meanwhile. Once we have the info, just let us know & we can take a view. Proposal is broadly ok by us in any event!

If you need us to get a holding deposit down whilst we iron out the final details (and so you can secure best deals on your transfers etc), we are happy to get that booked in - just let us know how much, when & how.

In the meantime, we hope you had a great Christmas and are enjoying your time in France! We look forward to hearing from you early in the new year.

Hi Peter & Lyndsey,

Hope you're both well and all geared up for Xmas! Just wanted to touch base again before Xmas actually hits. We've all had a chat and definitely want to make this work for you; I think you guys / your event are just our sort of thing, not to mention the venue and location is stunning!

We can arrange an amplified set and do a little of both amplified and acoustic, which we're well used to! I will need to look into hiring a PA or at least some amplification depending on how amped you need us to be, which is something I'll need to investigate having not hired equipment in Poland before. Do you have an email for a contact at the venue? I might check first if they have any PA gear.

Adding PA does add to the quote - in England when using my own, this would usually be an additional £200, but I'll need to get some hire quotes (probably another £200 or so, but I need to investigate).

It may be good for us to have a little chat over the phone to discuss some details after Xmas, just to be sure exactly what you guys need.

That being said, I am on holiday in France visiting family from tomorrow until January 1st, and I am sure you both will be spending time with your own over the Xmas holiday! So could we put things on hold until the first week of January, and then get things fully established?

My estimate is that a quote for one day's event - with accommodation, flights, probably car hire (as we'll need to get gear down to the venue assuming we hire in Krakow), and full PA hire (if that's what we go with) - will be more like £2550

I hope that's ok and all makes sense? As I say, the dates are held for yourselves until such time as we are both ready to proceed, but hopefully we can get things firmed up in the new year!

Our initial approach was that an acoustic roaming concept would be sufficient, but on further thought (and sight of your videos on the website), perhaps a small amplified set up by the “dance floor” will give you the option to switch between the two. 

Happy to be led by you on this. If the fee proposal includes the amplified set up, let’s go with that and we can figure out how best to play it on the day. Just let us know if there’s anything you need us to sort out directly with the venue. 

Thanks for holding the dates! As soon as you have firmed up the fee proposal - we’re ready to pay the deposit to formalise the booking.

I understand what you mean about having the same concept, no worries 😊 - to be honest I think if you were to have us for both days, we would need to stick to 2x 45mins per day in order to provide the best selection of repertoire, but if you decide on one day 3x sets would be fine.

Can I double check you are enquiring about us as an acoustic outfit (i.e. unamplified) on both days, only as you mentioned technical setup?

So need to work out a few things and have a chat as a band, but unfortunately this is a very busy time -  would it be ok if you bear with me and I will get back to you again asap with more details, in the next day or two?

Great - thanks.

Could you confirm the quote just for the second night  (ie after party with roaming on sunday 14th)? There won’t be any need for a technical set up in that venue which should hopefully make life a bit easier!

We’d like to 100% book you guys in for that so please do hold the dates & send the relevant booking forms you need us to complete. We will come back to you with a final answer for the wedding night (13th) hopefully this week (we’re just undecided yet if want the same concept across the two nights).

Just so you know, the after party is a fairly informal/relaxed affair, so you have licence to roam as you please and to have a bit of fun with it :). There will also be a local highlander troop running a few games for the entertainment. We’ll cater for food & drink and if you guys need it, we can make enquiries to get you on the coach being arranged to transport the wedding party from zakopane to krakow on the Monday morning (approx 10am).
