Thank you for your quick reply! This sounds great.
All live music needs to be finished by 8/8:30pm at the pub so it would mean an earlier finish than you’re used to at weddings, I’m sure! Considering that, we were wondering if that could be reflected in your quote at all if it hasn’t been already?

Our thinking is that the first set would ideally be around 1:45/2pm after we arrive at the pub, while everyone is having canapés and drinks. Then a gap while we eat and do speeches. Then the last 2 sets from around 6ish.

Indeed that is an earlier finish for a wedding! Happy to come down a little in price as we've only fairly recently put our prices up! Bear in mind the quote also covers for the time on-site which will be in the region of 7-8 hours.

Hello!

Thanks so much for doing that for us! Sounds perfect. We’re not sure if we would want the evening sets amplified, I’m assuming so to make it more of a party and set it apart from the earlier acoustic set. Is that what you would recommend?

We just want to confirm timings with the venue which we’ll do in the next week or so and we’ll get back to you to confirm everything.
Once we confirm what are the next steps and how does payment work?

Not a problem 😊 So that would be on a basis of starting about 2 and finishing by 8.30pm 👍

I would definitely recommend amplified if you want more of a party vibe 😎 It just depends what you're after; with roaming acoustic we create pockets of entertainment as we move to your audience, but if you want us to become the main feature of the evening and fill the room sound-wise, then amplification is needed - assuming it's a crowd of over 30 people, but even then it can be hard work to be loud enough once people have had a few drinks 😂

Are you planning on having a DJ to follow?

Once you're certain, fixthemusic will get in touch directly with booking details - they take a %35 deposit to secure the booking.

Hi Roaming Folks! We hope you're well.

We just wanted to reach out with some questions and to give you a rough idea of the songs and times for the day.

We've put together 3 set lists from the list of songs you shared (see attached). Happy for you to play about with these if you think certain songs need to be moved around or the number of songs needs to be reduced!

Also, to confirm, we aren't going to be having a DJ afterwards and will just use our own playlist.

In terms of the timings for each set, we were thinking as follows:

Set 1 - Acoustic - start between 14:00-14:15
Set 2 - Amplified - start between 18:55- 19:05 (first dance planned for between 18:50-19:00
Set 3 - Amplified - start 19:50 (for a 20:30 finish)

Our evening guests will be arriving at 18:30 which is why our first dance will be around 7pm so we would like the 2 amplified sets to start straight after.
Questions
* What are your plans between the first and second sets?
* Will you provide your own food and drink?
* We noticed you don't list any Bob Marley, we were wondering if you could do one his songs (Jamming, Three Little Birds or One Love) during the first set?

I've had a brief look at the sets you have created - some great suggestions! I will look through properly in due course 😊

As you say you will provide your own playlist instead of a DJ, I just want to check you will have your own system to play music from? (Our PA will be packed down as soon as we finish).

Your questions:

  • What are your plans between the first and second sets? - None currently, we may go off-site, but most likely we will stay on-site.
  • Will you provide your own food and drink? - If you don't mind, it makes life a lot easier if you can provide for us 😊 (it is in the Fixthemusic agreement that client's will provide us each with a hot meal).
  • We noticed you don't list any Bob Marley, we were wondering if you could do one his songs (Jamming, Three Little Birds or One Love) during the first set? Absolutely! We ought to have some Bob in there, we'd be happy to learn one of those!

Yes all three of us thank you: our violinist cannot eat red meat; chicken/fish/veggie options fine. (Tj and I will eat anything).

Hi guys,

Hope you're well. I'm just reaching out with an update on our requested set lists for the 3 sets and to run through the general order of them.

No major changes, the only thing to call out would be the first song to play after our first dance.

We'd like this to be Paradise by George Ezra, but other than that, you're welcome to re-arrange to whatever you think works best on the day.

In terms of timings, we have asked our guests to arrive from 1.30pm at the Fox and Hounds and we should arrive around 2pm.

They'll be an initial entrance and then we'd like you to start the first set after that - between 2pm-2.15pm.

For the evening, we'd like both sets to be played straight after our first dance which is scheduled for just before 7pm.

We've put down that they'll be a 10-minute break in between sets - hope that's okay, if this needs to be longer let us know.

1st evening set - 7pm
2nd evening set - 7.50pm - to finish for 8.30pm

Timings work great - we'll probably take 15min for break and just finish 5min later if that's ok, but otherwise all good!

There's not really a green room as such, but they do have small 'shop' area at the far end of the bar, which, if the weather's decent we won't need to use, so you're welcome to use that. It's not really private, but there is a curtain you can pull across I think.

Yes that's absolutely fine 😊 What time are you expecting to have your speeches?

Also I need to say, we will need about an hour to set up and sound-check the PA - this can be at a time that fits around other things as much as possible, just let me know if there's a preference.

We could get it set up straight after our first set, or leave it until later on 😊

I'm guessing the pub has an area or you have an area in mind suitable for us to be situated for the evening.

Hello,

Thank you so much :) would you need to have set up the PA before our speeches if we’re using your mic?

It is likely that while we are doing speeches, tables will be cleared out to make space for you and a dancefloor near the bar. - this is if the weather is bad and we can’t do this outside under the covered deck area which is our preference! We will make a call that morning or on Friday I think. Either way it’s prob the best time for you to start setting up while we’re doing speeches.

This is the planned order of the day:

1:30 Reception- guests arrive at Fox & Hounds for welcome drinks

2 Davina & Sean arrive at Fox & Hounds - entrance, canapés, group photos

2:15 band first set

3:30 buffet served

5 speeches (outside)

5:30/40 dessert table

6:30 evening guests arrive

7 fist dance followed by Band

8:30 Band finish, playlist starts and evening food served

10:30 last orders

11 everyone out

So yes but only a very simple setup for your speeches as we only need to set you up one speaker with the mic - the rest can be setup separately while you have your speeches 😎
